Due to concerns around the potential spread of COVID-19, Emerald City Ringers has made the decision to cancel this year’s Greater Puget Sound Handbell Conference.
The current recommendations from public health officials in Western Washington is that organizations cancel any public gatherings that are not absolutely necessary. They have especially urged groups to cancel gatherings that include individuals who are over 60 years of age and at higher risk. A large percentage of our participants are likely to include folks in this higher risk demographic.
We will work closely with Bells of the Sound, who I believe will be planning next years event and encourage them to use some or all of the music we selected for this year’s event.
