Fall Ringing Round-Up

Area 10 is excited to announce a new event designed for advanced beginner to intermediate ringers.  October 17-18, 2025 is the inaugural weekend for the Fall Ringing Round-Up.

In order to minimize the costs of travel, the Round-Up will be held in multiple venues throughout Area 10.  Area 10 will provide almost everything you need: bells, tables, foam.  Even the music.  Yeah!  You don’t have to study and learn the music ahead of time.  The event opens Friday evening with a workshop from 7-9 pm that will help prepare for the massed ringing rehearsals on Saturday, ending with an informal recital for friends and family.  We hope this will be a time of fun ringing fellowship and skills-building.

A typical schedule will be similar to this.  Exact times might vary slightly at different venues.

Want to know more?

Venues: The Round-Ups will be held in smaller facilities than area-wide events, like church fellowship halls.  Each facility is offering their space free-of-charge.  Be sure to thank them and take good care of their space. Each facility will also have a limit on the number of ringers that can attend.  That information will be in the venue specific information sheets.  Be sure to register early.  A wait-list will be kept once a venue fills up.

Instruments: Area 10 will coordinate with local choirs to provide the instruments and equipment required.  If you are able to provide equipment or instruments, please contact Diane Barnes, the Area 10 Events Chair, and she will connect you with the venue coordinator nearest you.

Music:  Area 10 will provide the music.  You will be allowed, even encouraged to mark your music, with erasable pencil only.  The music must be returned to Area 10 after the closing recital.  You may purchase your own set of music from Area 10 to keep if you want.

Music Stands: Floor stands for C3-B3 will be provided.  C4 and up ringers are asked to bring a split back folder.  If you want to use a riser, you will need to bring that, too.

Gloves: Area 10 will respect the practice of the choirs that are loaning us their bells.  Please bring a pair of black gloves with you, so you will be prepared to adjust as needed.
