This is my first national seminar. I’m excited to learn a lot of new things to take back home with me. My final leg to St. Louis was by Amtrak. I haven’t ridden on a train in decades. It added to the specialness of this event for me. Also experienced Uber for the first time. Met Janet and Sue Ann from Independece, MO and shared the ride. Ringers seem to recognize fellow ringers.
Day 0 included registration and a reception. There are about 400 fellow ringing enthusiasts here. A long line worked up to the registration desk where we received our name tags and carry bag. Then you work your way through many tables of give aways and raffle sign-up, etc. Even got a new pair of gloves from Schulmerich.
I’ve met up with several Area 10 folks. And, small world, a couple of ringers from Puerto Rico who know a new acquaintance of mine in rural Montana.
Day 0 did not disappoint. Looking forward to Bell Trees: In the Beginning, Metal and Muscle, and two sessions on ensembles on Day 1.
